They must stay at the airport until the child is airborne. During security, immigration, and boarding, the Unaccompanied Minor will receive priority assistance from Singapore Airlines' staff.
Once on board, the flight staff will check on the child regularly and provide them with puzzles, presents, and activities to make their journey enjoyable. The Unaccompanied Minor is encouraged to inform a flight attendant if they require any assistance. Upon landing, a Singapore Airlines crew member will escort the child to the gate, where they will be met by their approved guardian.
While this service is designed to make travelling alone less stressful for children, it's essential to note that certain restrictions and conditions apply to minors travelling from specific countries. For example, children under the age of 18 travelling alone from South Africa require extra travel documentation.
