Alaska Airlines Baggage Allowance:

As usual, Alaska Airlines offers two types of baggage allowance called carry-on and checked baggage allowances. Get the complete details about each baggage allowance.

 

Alaska Airlines Carry-on Baggage Policy:

  • Travelers are allowed to carry 1 personal & 1 carry-on baggage item without any cost.
  • For Economy class ticket holders will consider the 8 KG person item free of cost. But business class and first class travelers are permitted to carry 2 bags with 12 KG weight without any additional charges.
  • The personal item dimensions should not exceed 61 X 43 X 26 CM.
  • A personal item can be a jacket, diaper bag, duty-free items, and other similar.
  • Travelers are allowed to carry two pieces of baggage with 115 CM dimensions and 12 KG weight. (Each baggage)
  • The carry-on must fit under the seat and that can't include an umbrella, jacket, assistive device, or duty-free items but, the diaper bag will count as a personal item.

 

Alaska Airlines Checked Baggage Policy:

  • According to the Alaska Airlines Baggage Policy, travelers are allowed 2 bags with 23 KG each for Economy class and 2 bags with 32 KG for business & first-class travelers.
  • The dimension of the checked baggage will consider 45X 72 X 90 CM as per the LXWXH.
  • The actual length, height, and weight of checked baggage should not exceed 50 pounds.

 

How much does Alaska Airlines Charge for Extra Baggage?

If you selected the Alaska Airlines baggage Allowance for excess via the Alaska Airlines website then, you would get up to a 20% additional discount on baggage. The excess baggage charges are depending on the destinations & origin but, there are some standards so just, follow the below-given instructions for the Alaska Airlines baggage fee.

  • For domestic & European flights, just pay 85 US dollars or 70 euros as a baggage fee.
  • For intercontinental flights, just pay 105 US dollars or 90 Euro as a baggage fee.
  • For checked First baggage fee will pay approx. 30 US dollars & it will be 40 US dollars for the second baggage.
  • For additional baggage weight, the passenger needs to pay 100 US dollars if the weight is more than 24 to 46 KG.
